Insomnium Unveil New Song and Video, “The Conjurer”

Finnish melodic-death-doom torchbearers Insomnium have released a brand new single, “The Conjurer,” along with a music video.

The band haven’t yet announced a new album release but that could certainly follow soon, especially given the “more shall follow” tease included in the band’s statement about the new song. Their last album, Heart Like a Grave, came out in October 2019.

Vocalist/bassist Niilo Sevänen comments:

“We haven’t been idle during the pandemic. ‘The Conjurer’ is a tragic tale of jealous and searing love that opens this new chapter for Insomnium. Monumental composition by Markus Vanhala [guitars] that reaches its peak in the soaring dual guitar solo. The wintry music video was shot in the dreamlike landscapes of northern Finland by director Vesa Ranta and his team. More shall follow…”

Check out the song and video below. A new t-shirt design based on the song is available here.
