Video: Deicide Play a Full Capacity Show With No Restrictions in Florida

0

On Satuday, April 17, Deicide played a sold out, full capacity show at at The Verona in New Port Richey, Florida.

Florida governor Ron DeSantis lifted coronavirus safety protocols in September. Consequently, the indoor venue did not require concertgoers to socially distance or wear masks.

That makes the show violation the “two-out-of-three rule” recently suggested by Linsey Marr, leading expert on viral transmission and the Charles P. Lunsford Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. That guideline requires that any activity meet two of the following three criteria: be outdoors, be socially distanced, or be masked.

Video of the crowd at the performance (below) shows a substantial amount of moshing and physical contact but a dearth of masks.

2.1 million Florida residents have contracted COVID-19, resulting in 34,695 deaths to date, The New York Times reports.

You can watch video of the entire Deicide performance below.
