Foo Fighters mainmain Dave Grohl and producer Greg Kurstin have posted the second offering of this year’s The Hanukkah Sessions, an eight-night affair in which they pay tribute to Jewish musicians by covering songs in their own unique style.

Following last year’s effort, Grohl and Kurstin’s 2022 incarnation of the Jewish festival of lights kicked off with a brutal metal version of Lisa Loeb’s “Stay” on Sunday night. For night two last night, Grohl and Kurstin shared a live version of the Ramones classic “Blitzkrieg Bop,” but with lyrics altered for the season: “Hey, Oy! Let’s Goy!” What’s more, the video features what appears to be found footage of spirited dancing at someone’s Bar Mitzvah filmed in the 1950s. Mwah! *chef’s kiss*

Grohl and Kurstin comment of their latest:

“Once upon a time, two nice Jewish boys from Queens named Jeffery Hyman and Thomas Erdelyi changed the world forever with their music… as Joey and Tommy Ramone! GABBAI GABBAI HEY! Ladies and gentlemen… It’s the Ramones! Blitzkreig Bop!”

Watch below and stay tuned for six more videos from the duo as Hanukkah continues.
