Emperor to Tour the U.S. for the First Time in 15 Years

One of the most iconic black metal outfits to date is heading back to the States for their first full-fledged tour in more than a decade. Emperor returns for the “Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk” tour, a limited, five-date affair that hits massive cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Dallas.

While it’s true that they played last year’s Psycho Las Vegas, that was a one-off. Today’s announcement is the unveiling of the “Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk” tour, which will take place from June and into early July.

According to a social media post by the band, “all work visas are already issued and the band is excited to finally return to the North American shores.” That’s a good thing, considering how expensive those visas could become in the near future…

Tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. EST. Since Psycho is presenting the tour, even though there’s no Psycho Las Vegas this year, Psycho subscribers will gain access to a special preorder that will start tomorrow, February 14.
