Pallbearer Add a Handful of Headlining Dates to Their Summer Itinerary
The Arkansas-based progressive doom outfit Pallbearer may already have tour dates planned with Yob this June, but that doesn’t mean they have to play second fiddle every night. Earlier today, the band announced that they’ve added a handful of shows where they’ll be the top of the bill in between gigs with their stoner doom brethren.
Starting with a hometown appearance at Little Rock, Arkansas’ Mutants of the Monster Fest on June 3, the six dates will run until June 28 in Kansas City, Missouri’s Record Bar. Three of the selected dates will take place before they even join Yob on tour, so really half of their headlining gigs this summer will be warmup efforts as they get ready to head out across the southern part of the U.S.
Pallbearer vocalist Brett Campbell said these dates were added to address some long running absences from certain parts of the country that the band’s had in recent years.
“On either side of our upcoming dates with Yob, we’re going to be headlining some cities we haven’t played in far too long. We’ll be playing songs from all eras, and perhaps some material that no one has heard yet. See you there!”
