Assemble Your Own Oderus Urungus Like a Smelly Voltron with These GWAR Action Figures

Since this past Saturday, toy nerds have been gathering in droves to attend this year’s Toy Fair in New York City’s Jacob Javits Center. Having attended New York Comic Con in that same space, I can pretty much summarize what that’s probably like — scores of adults are walking around, gazing longingly at shit they can’t afford but their younger selves would have killed over. Well, that or it’s an industry event where people get to see what’s coming up in the toy field.

Whatever the reality may be, I know there’s at least one intellectual property that’s probably got worse body odor than the average Toy Fair attendee — GWAR. And as it turns out, they’re the focus of a line of officially licensed action figures from Trick or Treat Studios.

Featuring Balsac The Jaws of Death, Pustulus Maximus, Beefcake The Mighty, Jizmak Da Gusha, and Blöthar The Berserker, each figure stands at five inches tall and comes with the band member’s ideal weapon. And while that would be enough to slake any Bohab’s unending thirst for merch, they’ve found a way to make even the least devoted GWAR fan want to collect them all.

You see, each figure will apparently come with a different piece of an Oderus Urungus figure. Get all five of the other bandmates and you can then construct your own Scumdog of the Universe. All I want to know is which member is forced to contain the Cuttlefish of Cthulhu.

There’s no release information for the GWAR set as of now, only that the pre-orders will begin later this year.

In addition to the GWAR announcement, Trick or Treat Studios also announced a less interesting figure of Ghost’s Papa Emeritus II from the band’s Infestissumam days. This figure is already available for pre-order and will cost a cool $150 for the 12-inch figure. And unlike the GWAR offering, all you get with Papa is some different hands, a removable mitre (hat), a staff, and mic stand.
