Skeletal Remains Announce Record, Drop “Void of Despair” Video
Three years after the release of 2020’s The Entombment of Chaos, Skeletal Remains announced they’re back in 2024 with a new record, Fragments of the Ageless, out via Century Media on March 8. They also dropped a video from the record, “Void of Despair,” to give us a taste.
The video was directed by Dillon Vaughn and features one of the absolute staples of death metal—cannibalism. The American powerhouse also shared their album artwork, and will drop more details about the record in the coming weeks.
About the new song, the band say:
“We are very proud to present our first single entitled ‘Void of Despair,’ inspired by the true horrors of the many men lost at sea, who, after depleting all of their resources and food, turned to cannibalism for survival. We gave the old stories our own twist by having the crew set on a ship lost in the eternal void of deep space. The aggression and spastic riffs swirling throughout the song perfectly express the feeling to an endless losing battle of sanity and starvation, thus succumbing to their demise. We hope you enjoy!”
Skeletal Remains are touring the U.S. this November and December with Suffocation, Incantation, and Stabbing, with surrounding dates before and after the tour to be announced soon. You can check out the dates that have already been announced down below.
