Stoner metal outfit Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs just dropped their live in New York record, and they’ve got even more performances announced for their U.S. tour.

The Newcastle, U.K.-based band with the ridiculously repetitive name are known for their high-energy live performances — check out the video below to see what we mean. Their new album, aptly titled Live In New York, highlights their show this past April at New York City’s Mercury Lounge. They were on tour supporting their latest record Land Of Sleeper, which was released this past February.

Drummer Ewan Mackenzie said that particular show was a memorable one for the band, as they’d previously had some great experiences in The Big Apple.

“Our show at Mercury Lounge in Manhattan, NYC was the last date of our North American tour and the final chapter of a wonderful musical adventure for us. We had already had the privilege of playing at St. Vitus in Brooklyn at the start of the tour, and so returning to NYC again felt like a kind of homecoming. The atmosphere was electric that night; there was magic in the air and a special connection among everyone in the room.”

“‘Big Rig’ is such a joy to play, like a journey in itself, with big changes, breakdowns, and tangents: You feel like you’re hanging on for dear life as the song sweeps you into another mind-bending section.”

Live in New York, is available now via Missing Piece Records.

As for their touring schedule, the band are back on the road with some more U.S. dates before they head back to the U.K. and then Australia to round out 2023. But don’t worry if you couldn’t catch them here in the states, as they’ll be back next February. You can find the full list of tour dates below.
