Amon Amarth Announce North American Tour with Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, and Frozen Soul

0

Death metal fans everywhere may want to take notice, because there’s going to be a damn good tour rolling through North America next spring and you likely won’t want to miss it. Swedish melodic death metal band and viking raiders Amon Amarth are heading back out on the road, yet instead of bringing (the unfairly maligned) Ghost this time around, they’re going all out with Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, and Frozen Soul.

I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a damn good group of bands to demolish a venue to.

Kicking off on April 21 and running through May 25, the two-dozen date tour will include some must-see stops, including a special gig at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. Sandwiched within the list of dates will also be some huge arena shows, so it could be possible that Amon Amarth will be back on their bullshit, complete with that huge ass boat and stage show.

Following the announcement, Amon Amarth said they were excited to get the tour started in so many words.

“Heed our warning; we are gearing up for our biggest and most epic raid in North American history! We are bringing a massive show that will leave your cities in ashes. Scorching the Earth with us are our good friends Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, and Frozen Soul. Come out to the shows and party like Vikings and raise your horns with us. METAL CRUSHES ALL!”

Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting Friday, December 8 at 10 a.m. local time. Presales have already begun and will run through Thursday, December 7 at 10 p.m. local time, with VIP “Viking Valhalla Experience” packages will be available today at 12 p.m. EST.

So while you go get your tickets in the pre-sale, be sure to check the full list of dates below. You can also check out the trailer for Amon Amarth’s upcoming music video for “Saxons and Vikings” right now.
