Abyssal Frost Stream Full Album Ahead of Release

0

Just in time for winter, Abyssal Frost have given us a frosted blast of brutality in the form of The Pyre Aflame.

The new album will be out January 11 via Beyond The Top Records, and will feature vocalist Sheldon (ex-Wrath and Rapture), guitarists Kenan Kerr (Vanisher, ex-Wrath and Rapture) and Steven Funderburk (Through the Eyes of the Dead, Wretched), bassist Aaron Monger (Tÿger) and drummer Scott (Vanisher, ex-Wrath and Rapture).

“Since the release of our debut, Antarsia, the world has continued to change, in many ways for the worse,” says Kerr about the release. “More people than ever have opened their eyes to the grave injustices wrought upon us to maintain the status quo and keep the population in line. With The Pyre Aflame, we’ve set out to capture the anger, hopelessness, heartbreak, and desire for cosmic vengeance that we believe will resonate with everyone who is sick of being spoon fed the same modern addictions day by day while we watch our world crumble around us.”

“There is a call to action to remain vigilant and steadfast in opposition to those that would shackle our minds,” he adds. “We have sharpened our riffs, imbued our melodies with triumph, and created the heaviest material Abyssal Frost has written to date—both sonically and emotionally—to take the listener on a narrative journey from the first spark of the pyre’s flame to the cataclysmic end wrought by an angered Sun.”

Funderburk adds about the forthcoming album:

“Very pleased to be releasing The Pyre Aflame as the second release on my label, Beyond the Top Records. It’s aimed for those about to rock! Safe to say The Pyre Aflame is a statement of the band at their strongest, heaviest, and most invested in themselves. The future is brighter than the icy fires of hell for Abyssal Frost.”

Check out the full album when it comes out early next year.
