Broken Hope to Reissue ’90s Material

Old-school fans of Broken Hope just had their dreams come true with the recent announcement that they’ll officially be reissuing their ’90s material from Swamped In Gore to Grotesque Blessings in some way, shape, or form.

In their announcement on Instagram, the band said the “vaults have been opened,” with the band in possession of the original masters for those albums, which bodes well for anyone hoping for the the best final product possible with these reissues.

“The vaults have been opened and the original multitrack tapes/reels and master DATs for the first five Broken Hope albums are in hand.

“Broken Hope is currently transferring all of the masters into Pro-Tools for the first time… The first two albums were done in a digital format on an Akai A-Dam system, and the three following albums were done on two-inch analog tape.

“From here, Broken Hope has some special things planned for the entire 1990’s catalog.

“A very MASSIVE, heartfelt THANK YOU to BRIAN GRIFFIN, as these masters and the project would’ve never been possible without him.

“And huge thanks as always to the crew of superstars at Criteria Recording Studios for all of the stellar assistance, wisdom, and accommodations…”

This isn’t the first exciting announcement from Broken Hope this year, either. Back in November, guitarist and frontman Jeremy Wagner announced the band started working on a new record. Wagner also became active again with his other band, Earthburner, this year.

“Tabbing out all the Earthburner album songs with Tyler,” he said on social media at the time. “I’m so grateful for Ty … He jotted down every root note of every song for the album so I’d remember what the fuck I played!

“You gotta understand, I wrote an entire Earthburner album plus the new Broken Hope album during these last nine months—some 25 songs total, so staying on top of new tunes, chops, and more takes work and practice.

“THANK YOU, TYLER for helping your old-man-step-grindfather get his shit together. I love you!”

Next year is gonna be a good one for Broken Hope fans.
