Things Will Likely Get Weird During the King Buzzo and Trevor Dunn U.S. Tour

0

Fans of the weird and wild will likely be down for the recently announced summer tour featuring MelvinsKing Buzzo (Buzz Osbourne) and Mr. Bungle‘s Trevor Dunn. Set to embark on a long ass tour across the U.S. this August and September, this thing’s sure to be one of the more memorable acoustic tours you’ll ever attend.

Dubbed the King Dunn Tour, this run of shows will kick off in Pioneertown, California on August 1 and come to a screeching halt on September 26 in Phoenix, Arizona. Nearly ever day in between will feature a new show in a new location, giving fans all over the country multiple opportunities to catch these two.

No stranger to either artist’s work, the two men have collaborated over the years as members of Fantômas, along with various solo projects along the way. Osbourne said this sort of tour has been a long time coming for the duo.

“I’ve been waiting a LONG time to do an acoustic tour with Trevor. He’s a fantastic player, and has the ability to make his bass sound like an oil tanker crashing into a coral reef.”

According to the guys, Dunn will be rocking a stand-up concert bass while Osbourne sings and plays an acoustic guitar. Sounds like a laid back kind of night, but I’m sure the music will be amazing. Coming along for the entire run will be J.D. Pinkus.
