Deftones Partner with Abre Ojos Tequila on Signature Liquor Blend

0

Deftones just dropped something new, but it’s not music… it’s tequila. They paired up with Abre Ojos Tequila, whom they’re collaborating with to drop limited edition bottles dedicated to their iconic album.

The latest drop from the collaboration celebrates their 2020 album Ohms, and it’s the second in the two-part series.

“Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this tequila embodies the essence of Deftones’ music and the energy of their fans,” the official announcement for the product reads. “Each bottle is a collector’s item, reflecting the band’s signature style.

“Inside the bottle, you’ll discover a crafted tequila using the finest agave and traditional production methods.”

To craft this tequila, the brewers combine 100% blue webber agave and cook it in traditional brick ovens, then fermented it in open air tanks.

This añejo is twice distilled and then aged in used whiskey-American oak barrels for almost two years,” the announcement explains.

“This spirit offers a harmonious balance of flavors, with hints of caramel and oak, delivering a truly exceptional sipping experience.

The bottles are available now for a modest $104.49, and they’ll surely sell out quickly, so get one while you can.

In other Deftones news, the band made headlines earlier this week because HEALTH covered the Deftones song “Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away).” The release brought hype to their latest album, RAT WARS, out through Loma Vista Recordings. The record is already out digitally and releases today in physical formats.

So, while there’s no new Deftones music, there is new Deftones tequila and a HEALTH cover, and that’s the next best thing, so drink up, fans.
