Former Godsmack Drummer Shannon Larkin to Temporarily Rejoin Snot at Welcome to Rockville
Roughly 25 years after he played on Snot’s Strait Up tribute album remembering the late vocalist Lynn Strait, ex-Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkin will take the stage this Sunday at Welcome To Rockville to fill-in for Jamie Miller.
According to the band, Miller was unable to make it to the festival because he’s already touring with Bad Religion in Spain. Since they were in the need of a drummer and Larkin’s been out of the spotlight since he left Godsmack this past April, it makes total sense that the two would come together.
Aside from his involvement in Strait Up, Larkin was credited by the band for getting them together in the first place. Not only that, but Larkin “played the very last two Snot shows before Lynn passed away in 1998.”
Once Miller’s commitments with Bad Religion get buttoned up, Larkin will likely slink back away from the spotlight. Remember, he and Tony Rombola quit Godsmack because they didn’t want to tour anymore, so I wouldn’t expect him sticking around at all. This was likely just a one-off favor to help some old friends.
Larkin isn’t the only relatively new face to the band when they play Welcome to Rock. Recently, ex-Bad Wolves guitarist Doc Doyle was revealed to be playing with Snot at upcoming live shows.
As for Snot, their touring plans for 2025 pretty much run until October, with some big gaps in along the way. You can find the full list of dates below.
