Malevolence Dig Deep on Their Latest Single and Video “Salt The Wound”
Right now, metalcore quintet Malevolence are making their way around sunny Australia alongside Counterparts and Alpha Wolf for the remaining dates of their 2025 tour. While on the road, the group has unleashed another single taken from their forthcoming album, Where Only The Truth Is Spoken.
Out now, “Salt The Wound” is a melodic metalcore anthem with hellish screams and is another taster of what to expect on their fourth studio album. It follows their last release, “If It’s All The Time To You,” which they shared in March this year alongside the announcement of the new album.
Speaking about the new single, Malevolence frontman Alex Taylor says:
“The product of us making a conscious decision to bridge the two faces of Malevolence. On one hand we have the heavy aggressive side, and on the other, we have the slower melodic songs, so we wanted a song that could combine the two.”
In terms of the music video, Taylor continues:
“The video was entirely shot in Sheffield and the surrounding areas. From the industrial depths of Sheffield, a 900-year-old ruined Abbey, to a perfect sunrise over some of the incredible hills of Derbyshire, there is some incredible scenery in the north of the UK which we sometimes take for granted, so this song felt like the perfect opportunity to showcase some of that.”
Where Only The Truth Is Spoken officially comes out June 20, via MLVLTD in partnership with Nuclear Blast Records, but you can pre-order it here.
