Ozzy on a Farewell Tour: “The Original Sabbath Will Never Be on Stage Together Again”

If you don’t already have tickets for ‘Back to the Beginning,’ don’t hold out hope for seeing Black Sabbath after that. In a recent interview with Classic Rock, iconic metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne has confirmed that ‘Back to the Beginning’ is definitely the final Black Sabbath show and that fans shouldn’t hold up hope for seeing them after that.

Speaking about their farewell show, Osbourne said:

“It’s very important. The original Sabbath will never be on stage together again. From the late 60s, we’re probably one of the only bands where the original members are still alive and speaking with one another.”

Though we all know that in the history of heavy music, when a band says they’re done touring, more often than not, it’s not 100% true. In previous years, Black Sabbath announced a farewell tour in 1999 and even more recently, their “The End Tour” in 2016-2017. So, I think it’s fair for fans to take this information with a pinch of salt.

It isn’t that unrealistic to hope, right…

The ‘Back to the Beginning’ concert is officially sold out and takes place on July 5 at Villa Park, Birmingham, UK.
