Cave In to Play ‘Jupiter’ Record in Full at 25th Anniversary Show

0

Do you remember the first time you listened to Machettuchets’ prog-metal dudes, Cave In? Or the moment they dropped their iconic sophomore album, Jupiter, in 2000? In many ways, it’s hard to believe this record turns 25 this August. Even more scary to think about how the year 2000 has become somewhat of a historical era. As if we all don’t remember it like yesterday.

Anyway, Cave In has announced that they are taking a trip to their hometown on August 22, for a concert at Cambridge, MA. In celebration of their 25th anniversary, the band will run through the entirety of Jupiter.

Additionally, the band has announced a UK and EU tour for this winter, with Toru joining them on select dates. More iconically, though, Torche will also be joining the band for a one-off show in London. Having just recently reunited, after calling it quits in 2022, this comes as some pretty exciting news. It’ll be Torche’s first live show back together, and hopefully, this time around, this will stick.

For the show in Cambridge on August 22, a portion of the ticket proceeds will go towards the Boston music-business veterans club, The Shout Syndicate. In support of youth arts programmes.
