Slaughter to Prevail’s Alex Terrible Responds to Fans Bashing Their Support Acts
I’m pretty sure I speak for most deathcore fans when I say that there’s a certain plague that surrounds Slaughter to Prevail’s lead vocalist, Alex Terrible. Homophobia, transphobia, fascism, you know, the list goes on. So it’s not all that hard to believe that he isn’t the most loved musician in the world.
24 hours ago, Slaughter to Prevail announced their The Grizzly Winter Tour, which kicks off next year, and this time with support acts. Joining them on the road are Maryland grindcore dudes Dying Fetus, Riverside’s finest Suicide Silence and British death metal lords Annotations Of An Autopsy. Though, unfortunately, since the announcement, each band has faced a whole load of backlash.
Some fans left the following comments under each band’s Instagram announcements. “The ultimate “leave before the headliner” tour,” “You guys and fetus are waaaayyy too good to be opening for stp man,” and “shame about the headliner” and let’s be honest, can you blame them?
Anyway, Terrible has commented on the backlash the bands have received so far. He wrote,
“I went to Suicide Silence and Dying Fetus [Instagram] pages and read all hate comments from people. They mad about our own headline tour
“Listen I grew up with suicide silence music and never imagined they will open for my band. To be honest I still don’t know how to react for this and for me personally I prefer touring without any support bands. Just us and we did it a lot of times already and sell out big Venues wich is very very good. But people always complained it was just us and they want more. Well our team worked it out and asked sick bands to tour with us and now people complain this band touring with us coz of US in our own tour WHAT THE FFFFFF.”
Slaughter to Prevail’s The Grizzly Winter Tour kicks off with a show in the Netherlands on Tuesday, January 13. You can find the full list of tour dates below.
