Wolfgang Van Halen Drops Out of Black Sabbath Farewell Show
In a new interview with WRIF Radio, multi-instrumentalist Wolfgang Van Halen has confirmed that he will no longer be playing Black Sabbath’s Farewell show.
He says:
“I, unfortunately, had to back out because the Creed tour starts the day after, and I [wouldn’t] be able to pull it off, unfortunately. I’m very excited to watch it, but I unfortunately had to back out.”
So, at least we have confirmation that there’s no bad blood there, and that Halen has dropped out due to essentially double booking himself.
A couple of weeks back, Sharon Osbourne shared that she had kicked a band off the lineup, and fans have been speculating who ever since. So, it looks like we can cross Halen off the list, for those of you who might’ve had their speculations…
Back to the Beginning officially takes place next week at Villa Park, Birmingham, UK, on Saturday, July 5. It’s a completely sold-out show, so for any of you without tickets (myself included), let’s just say the FOMO is pretty real. But live stream tickets are still available here.
