Powerwolf to Tour Europe with Hammerfall and Wind Rose Early Next Year
Power metal adherents take note — next February and March will be the time of Powerwolf in the old country, as they plan to take the continent by storm with a massive tour. And coming along for the ride this time around will be Hammerfall and Wind Rose, so it should be appropriately epic when shit finally goes down.
Set to kick off on February 19 in Copenhagen, Denmark, the ‘Wake Up The Wicked Tour’ will run until the trek’s final stop in London’s OVO Wembly Arena on March 7. Along the way, they’ll make stops in Stockholm, Helsinki, Leipzig… just to name a few.
News of this tour comes just weeks after the band’s announcement of an impending live album release titled Wildlive (Live at Olymplahalle), which was recorded during the band’s sold-out show of the “Wolfsnächte Tour 2024” at Munich’s legendary Olympiahalle. Described by the band as more than just a live album, it’s being seen as a way to help fans further connect to the theatrical nature of the Powerwolf experience.
“We always knew that no words or short recap videos could truly capture what we experienced together during the ‘Wolfsnächte 2024’ tour. Every night was its own kind of magic — still, we wanted to find a way to hold on to those memories and share them in the most powerful way possible. That’s why we decided to record the full, massive, sold-out show at the Olympiahalle in Munich — to preserve just a piece of what we all felt on this tour. ‘Wildlive (Live at Olympiahalle)’ is more than a live release. It’s a tribute and manifestation to the moments we’ve created together with our amazing fans.”
