Kennebec, Holy Wave, Bayonne and More to Play Opening Slots on Minus The Bear’s Anniversary Tour

0

The early 2000s were a hell of a time. Lots of great music came out around that time and Minus The Bear was no exception. This year marks 20 years since the release of Menos el Oso, so of course Minus The Bear is planning an anniversary tour.

Earlier today, the band announced the opening acts that will get each show started. The only thing is there are so many that it would be a bit cumbersome to list them out, so you’ll have to check the list of dates below to see how bands like Kennebec, Soft Palms, and Disheveled Cuss are opening certain dates.

Hype has been building for this anniversary tour for a while now, with dates getting added after the fact. For those that don’t know, the tour is slated to start on October 4 in Portland, Oregon and will come to an end with a pair of shows in Seattle on November 28 and 29.

Menos el Oso put us on a trajectory that none of us were expecting. There is a ‘before ‘Pachuca Sunrise’ video’ moment in time, and then there is an ‘after ‘Pachuca Sunrise’ video’ moment in time. It seemed like once people heard that song, and saw that video, everyone went straight to Limewire, Napster, Soulseek, BitTorrent, etc. and shared the album immediately.

“Celebrating the twentieth anniversary of something this monumental in our lives is a gift. Having the chance to appreciate it with our fans, families and fellow bandmates while we are all alive and kicking is an opportunity I can’t wait to embrace.”

If you’re interested in catching this show and its expanded list of opening acts live, you can purchase tickets right now. You can find the full list of dates below.
