Take a Peek Inside Ozzy Osbourne’s “Working Class Hero” Exhibition
I don’t feel like I’m going out on a limb here by saying that everyone of us who is currently missing what is likely to be one of the greatest events ever is full of jealousy and rage right now. Sure, you could be live-streaming “Back to the Beginning,” the FINAL performances of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne EVER (so they say) right now, but we all know live-streaming is no substitute for the real thing but, here we are. Along with all of the energy surrounding the farewell show, there’s a couple coinciding but auxiliary goings-on, including an exhibition of memorabilia of the iconic artist and group.
Luckily, we were able to find a video by YouTuber Metal Pilgrim showing some of what the exhibition, called “Working Class Hero,” has to offer. You can take a look at that below.
“Working Class Hero” is just one of the concurrent delights. There’s also a photo exhibition not to far from where everything’s going on, which offers an additional look into Ozzy and Black Sabbath’s long history. Both “Working Class Hero” and the photo exhibit will be running until September 28, with the former at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and the latter in Victoria Square.
Sara Wajid and Zak Mensah, co-CEOs of Birmingham Museums Trust had this to say of the exhibition:
“We are incredibly proud to host this prestigious exhibition dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne — a true Brummie icon whose influence spans generations and continents. Celebrating the life and achievements of someone so deeply connected to the city aligns perfectly with our mission to reflect and share Birmingham’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. We can’t wait to welcome visitors from near and far.”
