Eivør Signs with Nuclear Blast, Releases Official Tour Trailer
While hard at work on her new album, Faroese musician Eivør has announced a major career move, as she’s now an official member of Nuclear Blast’s long list of killer artists. It’s the sort of step that shouldn’t be taken lightly, but she said in a prepared statement that her joining the label made sense.
“Signing with Nuclear Blast feels like a natural next step. My music has always lived in the space between worlds and I’m honoured to join a label that embraces artistic freedom and is passionate about my music. I’m already deep into writing new material, and I can’t wait to share what’s coming next.”
With the release of her new album slated for sometime next year, Eivor’s addition to the Nuclear Blast roster gives fans something to look forward to. Nathan Barley Phillips, head of A&R Europe at Nuclear Blast, said he knew Eivør had to sign with his company after watching one of her live performances.
“I had the good fortune of witnessing Eivor deliver a mesmerising set to an absolutely bewitched crowd at the Royal Albert Hall in London a couple of years ago, and after seeing the effect her unique voice and artistry had on the entire audience (myself included), I just knew that we had to work with her. We very much welcome Eivor into the fold here at Nuclear Blast and we cannot wait to start work on her new album!”
As for what comes next, Eivør revealed her intentions to hit the road for a European tour later this year by releasing a trailer for said tour. The trailer can be found below, as can the full list of dates for her upcoming tour.
