Pat Bruders is Temporarily Returning to Crowbar for Remaining 2025 Tour Dates
When fans head out to catch the insanely heavy sludge/doom metal titans Crowbar at any of their upcoming shows, they’ll end up seeing a very familiar face holding down the low end. That’s not a trick of the eyes or a hologram — it will actually be Down (and ex-Crowbar/ex-Goatwhore) bassist Pat Bruders.
According to the band, their current bassist Shane Wesley is currently on tour with Acid Bath. Given the conflict that both bands need a bassist to fill out their sound, it only makes sense to bring in a guy that used to play in the band to fill in that temporary vacancy.
Speaking of the lineup shift, Crowbar frontman Kirk Windstein commented on the decision.
“We will miss Shane, but we are excited to reunite with Pat for these shows! This tour and the Halloween cruise [Headbanger’s Boat] are gonna be a blast! Don’t miss it!”
Similarly, Bruders chimed in on his upcoming stint with his old band.
“I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to my brother Kirk, and my brothers in CROWBAR for giving me the opportunity to step in and play again with them in place of Shane Wesley of whom I have nothing but the deepest love and respect for. He’s so very talented and a great person, and I’m gonna do my best job on his behalf for the August run with our brothers in Eyehategod, and the upcoming Halloween Headbangers Boat cruise in October. I hope everyone comes out to support and celebrate with us for a great, exciting, and super kickass time! Be there! Bring it!”
Crowbar’s live commitments will start on August 7 when they head out on tour with Eyehategod. They’ll continue on throughout the month of August, ending on August 31 in Pensacola, Floritda. After that, it’s a stint on the Headbanger’s Boat on October 31.
