Tenacious D to Release ‘The Complete Masterworks Vol. 3’ Blu-Ray/DVD
I love mfs who know how to do it right—how to live up to their name, how to continuously deliver gold, despite everything else. Tenaciously, the D always delivers, and this time, they’re delivering a hefty package of hot fire. Cue the epic Star Wars opening crawl edited for Tenacious D‘s epic release, because it’s doozy.
Just like the irothers, The Complete Masterworks Vol. 3 is the next in their massive heap of discographical delights. It’s comprised of footage from the band’s June 2023 Spicy Meatball Tour stop at London’s O2 Arena, along with the select music videos, a mini poster, their animated film Post Apocalypto, among other things.
The masterworks in question for this release include their fair share of cover songs, like their rendition of Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time” from Kung Fu Panda 4, Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game,” “You Never Give Me Your Money/The End” by The Beatles, and, of course, their cover of the Rocky Horror Picture Show classic “Time Warp.”
