Ghost to Release 10th Anniversary Limited Edition Vinyl Versions of ‘Meliora’

0

Say what you will about Ghost, but their latest album Skeletá is a bit of a banger. They’ve been on a roll lately, if we’re being honest, and I think that could all get traced back to the album that most would probably say put them on the map and in the zeitgeist among even normies — Meliora.

It’s hard to fathom, but that behemoth of a record came out ten fucking years ago! Like, where does all the time go?! To mark this occasion that’s suddenly hit me with insane levels of existential dread, Ghost are putting up a series of seven very special, limited edition vinyl variants of Meliora on October 17. And they’re all up for preorder right now.

As you’d expect, there are different variants for different retail partners, such as a “surge” vinyl color available only at indie record stores, a “spirit yellow black smoke” variant available only through Ghost and Loma Vista, or the neon green vinyl available in most other retail establishments.

Aesthetic differences aside, each limited edition of Meliora will feature a double LP setup, sleeved in a double wide spine jacket with a glossy finish. It also comes with a “commemorative Papa III Mummy Dust buck with metallic Pantone green detail package” that also comes with a 10th anniversary sticker to indicate “the special nature of this pressing.”

Oh and as far as the tracklisting is concerned, this is the original album along with the Popestar EP, which included “Square Hammer.”

If you’re interested in any of these, you better get your preorders in now. Some variants are already sold out, so be sure to jump on this as fast as possible, otherwise you’ll miss out.
