‘SISU: Road To Revenge’ Trailer Trades Dead Nazis for Soviet Soldiers, Still Looks Metal as F*ck

Back in 2023, I shared a red band trailer with you all for a little known film called Sisu. Think John Wick but during the Nazi occupation of Finland in World War II in which a prospector gets caught up with a buncha Nazis who do him dirty. But it turns out they actually fucked with an ex-commando trying to live a non-violent life after war who then proceeds to turn them all into bloody fascist gore in increasingly insane ways.

Not ones to let a good time come to an end, Hollywood is tapping that vein again and releasing Sisu: Road To Revenge to theaters on November 21. They could have called it Sisu 2: Electric Boogaloo for all I care, because the trailer they dropped looks just as violent and metal as its predecessor. Only this time the war is over the Nazis are replaced with Red Army soldiers.

Like its predecessor, Sisu: Road To Revenge was written and directed by Finnish filmmaker Jalmari Helander. The protagonist, Aatami Korpi is once again played by Finnish actor Jorma Tommila, though this time around they’ve brought Richard Brake (Barbarian, The Strangers: Chapter 2) and Stephen Lang (Avatar: The Way of Water, Don’t Breathe) into the film as well.

For clarity’s sake, this is the official synopsis:

SISU: ROAD TO REVENGE is a wall-to-wall cinematic action event, a sequel to the original sleeper hit SISU. Returning to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war, “the man who refuses to die” (Jorma Tommila) dismantles it, loads it on a truck, and is determined to rebuild it somewhere safe in their honor. When the Red Army commander who killed his family (Stephen Lang) comes back hellbent on finishing the job, a relentless, eye-popping cross-country chase ensues – a fight to the death, full of clever, unbelievable action set pieces.

Judging from the trailer below, this shit is going to go off the fucking rails. And I can’t wait for the carnage.
