Evanescence’s Amy Lee, Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante, and Poppy Release “End of You”

Well, the thing we all thought was going to be a new song featuring  Evanescence‘s Amy Lee, Spiritbox‘s Courtney LaPlante, and Poppy  turned out to be… a new song featuring Evanescence’s Amy Lee, Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante, and Poppy.

Released just moments ago via Sumerian Records, the track features three of the most prominent female voices in the metal/hard rock world. Of course you’ve got Lee belting it out like she’s always done, you’ve got Poppy keeping up with Lee while also throwing down some killer screams, and then you’ve got LaPlante coming in like a Category 5 hurricane. All three show off their talents, during the roughly three and a half minute track.

My only complaint is I don’t see much LaPlante in the video at all, just Amy Lee and two Poppys.

As far as the song itself, it sounds exactly like something that would have fucking killed back in the early 2000s. I can already envision three women at a karaoke club trying to sing along to this one, with the resulting performance ending up a major crapshoot.

How this collab came about, who approached who, or what each performer enjoyed about the whole process… literally any additional information at all… we’ve got none of that insight.

Either way, it’s a cool collab and the video’s definitely cool looking. Check it out.
