Viral Video Proves More Weddings Need Mosh Pits
Fuck the “Electric Slide”. Who wants to do the “Cha-Cha Slide” in 2025?! The “Chicken Dance”? Toss that shit into the dust heap of history. For my money, every wedding needs a kick ass band and a mosh pit that may or may not force your grandma to require a hip replacement.
I’m only half joking, too. And it’s all thanks to a video that’s making the rounds online of a wedding party popping off as the reception’s band covers Knocked Loose‘s “Mistakes Like Fractures” from their 2019 album A Different Shade of Blue.
As you can see in the clip below, shared over the weekend, everyone seems to be having a great time as the band goes off. People are jumping around and moshing, the band’s having a great time, and even the bystanders are having a blast as they watch their family members really cut loose for once.
It turns out, the wedding band is actually Salt Lake City-based band Infernium, who played the wedding on July 26. A YouTube video that goes behind the scenes was posted just a couple days after the event and shows some great footage of the festivities. At one point, a wedding attendee does a back flip off the stage. That’s just the right amount of recklessness you’d expect from a milestone event that comes with an open bar and loud music.
So if you’re planning on having a wedding with a metal band as the cocktail hour or reception entertainment, send me an invite. I will happily drink your booze, chat up your single ladies, and mosh with your octegenarian grandparents.
