Trivium Enlist Sepultura’s Greyson Nekrutman as New Drummer
Editor’s note: Sepultura has since released a statement confirming Nekrutman will return to the band after temporarily playing with Trivium.
Trivium don’t waste any time. Yesterday, we reported how the Florida metallers announced their split from the longtime drummer Alex Bent, which they revealed the previous day on October 4. We weren’t sure who they were going to have perform with them at their Aftershock set last night (October 5), but they clearly had a plan all along. Let’s welcome Greyson Nekrutman, most known for playing in Sepultura, as their new stickman.
Nekrutman’s addition was announced so nonchalantly, almost like it was some casual news you can just say in passing. Their social post about it was short and to the point, simply saying “Trivium welcomes Greyson Nekrutman on the drums. Catch him at Aftershock festival & on our Fall Tour with Jinjer and Heriot.”
