Primitive Man Follow “Natural Law” in New Single

0

What’s 14 minutes long, sounds like a dirge, and is likely to piss off or confuse every normie in your life? If you said Primitive Man‘s newest epic “Natural Law,” you’d be 100% accurate… at least in this scenario.

Pulled from their forthcoming album Observance, this new single is almost drone-like in nature. It’s got long, dark phrases that drag out for an obscene amount of time. Gutteral utterances pave a path through the dissonance.

Speaking of the track, Primitive Man frontman Ethan McCarthy said “Natural Law” was “one of the more ‘trance-like’ songs in terms of how it was written and I think leans in on the dark psychedelic vibe we have tried to harness for this.”

“Lyrically it deals with feelings of isolation, friend or associates turned bitter enemies, and how the option of violence is always there; that it is a personal choice whether or not to succumb to it and the struggle within that framework. It is also somewhat of a call out to anyone that the lyrics apply to. It also states that there is strength and a spark within hatred that you can either use to progress your life forward or end up dead/in jail.”

Observance will be released on October 31 via Relapse Records, but you can preorder your copy today. Primitive Man will be heading out on tour next month, so check out the full list of dates below.
