Opeth Announce Their Only Show in Ireland for 2026

0

When next August rolls around, luck will have nothing to do with the good fortune coming to our friends living on the Emerald Island. No, it will be a circumstance of planning, as Swedish death metal band Opeth will be playing their only show in Ireland next year.

Set to take place on August 2 at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin, the show will be in support of the band’s most recent studio album The Last Will and Testament. According to the band, the venue and location was selected because it fit their “series of special concerts in unique venues across the summer of 2026, continuing Opeth’s tradition of innovative live experiences.”

As you can see in the trailer below, the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre looks to be a top-of-the-line modern venue, which is significantly better than the dingey beer halls most death metal bands tend to play. But I guess that’s what happens when you’re at the top of your craft.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Thursday, October 14 at 10 a.m. local time. Ticket pre-sales will start tomorrow at the same time.
