Beherit’s First Norway Gig, Castle Rat, and Bölzer Among Bands Announced for Beyond the Gates

Yet another future festival announcement hit the internets this morning, as organizers with Beyond The Gates announced the second wave of bands getting added to the event’s inevitably stacked lineup. In fact, five new bands made the bill, including a very special announcement that will be a band’s first.

For those not in the know, Beyond The Gates is an annual festival that features concerts over the span of four days in various venues around Bergen, Norway, including the iconic Grieghallen and USF Verftet. NExt year’s event will happen from July 29 to August 1, 2026.

Added to the 2026 Beyond The Gates lineup were Bölzer, Castle Rat, Dold Vorde Ens Navn, Saturnalia Temple, and Beherit, who will be performing in Norway for their first time ever. These additions bolster an already strong lineup that included an Emperor set featuring Mortiis and Faust, so that’s saying something.
