Slipup with Press Applications Leak Potential Date for Next Year’s Sick New World

Ever since its unexpected cancellation this year, fans of the annual Las Vegas-based festival Sick New World were wondering if it would ever come back. Its unique blend of nu-metal nostalgia with some more modern acts really caputred a lot of people’s attention, but that all came to an abrupt end last November.

Now according to information originally posted over at Lambgoat, details regarding the April 25, 2026 date surfaced from two locations: a leaked press application that specifically mentions that date for the festival and a support page on the festival’s main site. Details at least for the former were posted to the Sick New World subreddit.

Of course, the fact that Sick New World is coming back next year isn’t exactly the most well-kept secret on the planet. We’ve seen instances where the festival’s weird little mascots cropped up at System of a Down shows and that band’s frontman Serj Tankian himself told a fan it was happening next year. And he would know, since the band’s management company Velvet Hammer and its CEO David “Beno” Benveniste co-founded the festival.

Whether this April 25 date is the real one or not is still up in the air without any meaningful confirmation. We’ll just have to wait and see, though in the meantime if you’re super confident about this date you can always begin booking your hotels and your AirBNBs and the like.
