Abysmal Dawn Release New Track “Cradle of Affliction”
With two decades now almost behind them, Los Angeles-based death metal outfit Abysmal Dawn are back with their first new track since 2022. Not only that, but they’ve got plans to hit the road with Krisiun for the ‘Conquerors of Armageddon 25th Anniversary Tour’.
The new track, titled “Cradle of Affliction,” has had a looong shelf life. According to the band’s guitarist, vocalist, and founding member Charles Elliot, this new track has been in the works since the Phylogenesis sessions.
“‘Cradle of Affliction’ nods to the sound of our first record and our earlier melodic death metal influences like At The Gates. This one is for Tomas (R.I.P.) and all the fans who have continued to support Abysmal Dawn throughout our journey for more than two decades now”.
As for the creation of the track, Elliott wanted to let everyone know one thing’s for sure — A.I. had nothing to do with its creation.
“The music is written played, recorded and mixed by humans. The artwork was created by a human. The music video was shot and edited by a human. We hope you come out to a show and support four of your favorite semi-humans playing death metal while you still can. Cheers!”
