Der Weg einer Freiheit Release Live Footage of “Xibalba”

German black metal outfit Der Weg einer Freiheit released a clip of themselves playing “Xibalba,” one of the tracks off their latest album Innern. Filmed at Christuskirche Bochum church in Germany, the video was posted on their label Season of Mist’s YouTube channel.

According to the band, the track “unfolds as a descent into the architecture of fear. The song moves from quiet birth to violent bloom and eventual dissolution. Vocalist and guitarist Nikita Kamprad leads his bandmates Tobias Schuler (drums), Alan Noruspur (guitar) and Vincent Padrutt (bass) through a climatic surge of catharsis before arriving in a suspended state of meditative stillness.”
