Chimaira to Drop ‘Creepers Vol. 1″ Compilation on Halloween
Who says candy has to be the only treat you should get on Halloween? Chimaira think you deserve more, so they’re surprising us with a special gift —a new compilation of b-sides, remixes, and covers called Creepers Vol. 1, and you’ll be getting it this Friday.
Creepers Vol.1 features songs that were recorded between 2011–2014. That doesn’t seem that long ago to me, but kids born then are high schoolers. Dafuq is up with that crap?!
Frontman Mark Hunter stated:
“We’ve been working to bring you streaming versions of some of our rarest B-sides.
“Back in the day the A-side was the hit single and the B-side was the ‘extra content’ – experimental songs, non-album tracks, or covers. Usually, they sucked. Sometimes you’d get a ‘Breadfan’ or ‘God Save the Queen,’ but let’s not kid ourselves – you’re not getting that here. These are the songs that didn’t make our albums for a reason.
“But if surviving the cutting room floor is a badge of honor, these tracks wear it proudly. Some fans love them. Others think we were right to bury them. Most didn’t know they existed.
“Enjoy Creepers Vol 1 this Halloween.
“Vol. 1 focuses on 2011–2014 — the Age of Hell through Crown of Phantoms era.
“We hope to release Vol. 2 soon.”
