Godsmack to Release Limited 25th Anniversary Edition of ‘Awake’
It seems like just yesterday Godsmack dropped Awake. Obviously it wasn’t, since the record is now old enough to rent a car without having to be the youth fee—25. To commemorate, Godsmack and their label Republic/UMe is releasing a limited, deluxe edition 2LP on a smoky green vinyl and CD. Since the band is somewhat dead set on not making new music, we’ll have to ask in this for a long while.
The new editions also include a special holographic lithograph of cover art and five bonus tracks, including a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Sweet Leaf” and “Why,” which comes from the Any Given Sunday soundtrack.
The 25th anniversary release is slated to come out March 6 of next year, but you can preorder Awake now by going here. Godsmack also have a few tour dates to follow the release overseas, that you can see below as well.
