Nergal and Misþyrming to Perform ‘Sventevith’ at Beyond The Gates 2026

This year’s iteration of Beyond The Gates is going to feature a very, very special performance that black metal fans aren’t going to want to miss. For the first time ever since its release in 1995, Behemoth’s Nergal will perform the entirety of Behemoth’s debut album Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic)’ with Misþyrming.

It’s the first such announced performance in a series of gigs where Nergal will bring the seminal record back to life at various music festvals to mark the record’s 30th anniversary. According to orgnaizers at Beyond The Gates, the performance is being billed as both a tribute and a transformation of the original material.

For those not in the know, Beyond The Gates is an annual festival that features concerts over the span of four days in various venues around Bergen, Norway, including the iconic Grieghallen and USF Verftet. Next year’s event will happen from July 29 to August 1, 2026.
