Heriot Unleash a Tribute to Old School Death Metal Fury in “Commander of Pain”
I sure hope you’ve got your brown pants on, because the latest single from U.K. metal motherfuckers Heriot “Commander of Pain” is so heavy you’re gonna wonder who the hell shit in your britches.
Released as a stand-alone track, Heriot guitarist and vocalist Debbie Gough said “Commander of Pain” is a callback to a bygone time of death metal yore.
“‘Commander of Pain’ is an ode to 90’s death metal. This is a song born of the inspiration we’ve gained from playing live alongside many different genres of metal bands. We wanted to write a track paying tribute to our favourite aspects of heavy music.’”
As it stands, Heriot is currently touring North America for the first time. They’re currently out on support of Trivium and Jinjer. You can find the full list of tour dates for that run down below. The band also has plans to hit the road with SikTH for two special U.K. dates lined up for early 2026. You can find the dates for those as well.
