New Ghost Lore Teases a Meeting of Two Papas, Announces the End of the ‘Skeletour’
It’s been radio silent in the Ghost camp for a while now, what with the band taking a bit of time away from the road after their lengthy ‘Skeletour’. Yet this afternoon, the band posted the 23rd chapter in their ongoing series of lore videos and this time, it’s all about Frater Imperator (née Papa Emeritus IV and Cardinal Copia) being visted by the ghost of Sister Imperator, his mother.
In the video, Frater complains about his place in the “clergy”, but he’s urged to stick around until the current “campaign” (tour cycle) comes to an end. Sister Imperator even hints that there might be a meeting between Frater Imperator and his replacement as the band’s frontman Papa V Perpetua. (Listen, we all know both characters are just Tobias Forge in varying stages of makeup/masks. Just go along with it.)
Following the little conversation between the Imperators, the music video for “Cenotaph“ off of their album Skeletá takes up the rest of the clip. Near the end of the video, it’s revealed that the final stop on the ‘Skeletour’ will be February 23, 2026 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
With that final date in mind, the remaining tour dates on Ghost’s itinerary are listed below. You don’t want to miss this run of shows, as Ghost really puts on a hell of a performance.
