Aaron Stainthorpe to Perform My Dying Bride Songs at Prophecy Fest 2026, Other Acts Confirmed

Things may have pretty much ended between vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe and his former bandmates in My Dying Bride, but that doesn’t mean the former can’t perform songs from his time with the band. Hence why he’ll be doing just that at next year’s Prophecy Fest with keyboardist Mark Deeks and cellist Jo Quail. The trio will also play Arð songs and Jo Quail’s solo material together.

In addition to their Aaron Stainthorpe announcement, Prophecy Fest organizers revealed a number of other acts planned for next year’s event, including Maunah, Spiritual Front frontman Simone Salvatori performing some solo material, and Neun Welten celebrating 20 years of Vergessene Pfade, along with an exclusive metal set.

Today’s announcements, Prophecy Fest founder Martin Koller said, should get fans hyped up for what’s to come over the next few months as the festival gets closer.

“We are thrilled to welcome more fascinating artists and friends of many years, who have offered to perform special shows to the programme of 2026. We are always working hard to present once in a lifetime experiences at Prophecy Fest and we sincerely hope you are as curious and filled with anticipation about these newly announced shows as we are.”

Like other iterations of the festival, next year’s Prophecy Fest will take place in a natural cave formed in Germany during the Stone Age known as the Balve Cave. For three days from September 3 to September 5, attendees will be able to enjoy a bill chock full of interesting musical acts and other activities.
