Terror Launch Copycat Merch of Bootlegged Designs in Retaliation

0

I love me some petty mess, and I guess that’s what you can consider this on a slow news day. Either way, it’s funny. Terror has a good sense of humor, because they did some shit that my ass would do if it ever happened to me. The LA hardcore band recently discovered that their logo was being used (without permission, obviously) by an Indonesian clothing company called Broken Uniform Syndicate. Not on their watch, though.

The logo in question was ripped from the band’s Keepers of the Faith design that the bootleggers placed on a pocketed shirt, with the back containing the logo and a photo of Nas.

Terror said fuck that, because they then decided to make a ripoff of the ripoff, putting their version up on their official website. To go along with the release, they shared the following:

“Combat the bootleggers by bootlegging the bootleg! ???? It can suck to be a hardworking band & have this happen, but that’s life and we try to make the best of it. Pick up an official shirt from us of a design we did ages ago for a very limited time. If you happened to grab one from @brokenuniformsyndicate we encourage you to get a refund. Merry Christmas and thanks for the love! Hoodie version also available. LINK IN THE BIO!”

Terror aren’t the only band this Broken Uniform Syndicate have stolen from. Their website shows they’ve also got bootlegs of designs from bands like Refused, Slayer, Deftones, Sonic Youth, and Godflesh, among others.

Come on now, y’all. Save the jocking of intellectual property for AI, for Christ’s sake.
