Napalm Death is Working on Their Next Album
Don’t look now, but it sounds like the dudes in Napalm Death have begun spinning up some new music for their forthcoming 17th studio album. According to a video shared by Shane Embury last night, it seems that he and the band’s touring guitarist John Cooke have begun working on their follow up to 2020’s Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism.
News of their preliminary work on new tunes came about when Embury shared a photo on his Instagram of himself, Cooke, and producer Russ Russel at Parlor Studios in Kettering, U.K. In addition to the photos, Emsbury shared a video message in which he said they’ve been working on demos for said new album.
“A couple of successful days guitar blasting on new @theofficialnapalmdeath songs … Tomorrow it’s bass grind time #shanenapalmdeathbook #napalmdeathalbum17 #grindcore #deathmetal #punk @theparlourstudios @discordance668 @russrussell444.”
Though it’s been almost six years since the release of their most recent full-length, it’s only been a couple years since the 2022 release of the badnd’s mini-album Resentment Is Always Seismic — A Final Throw of Throes.
There’s no news when this new Napalm Record will be released, but once that news comes out, we’ll make sure you’re also aware.
