ironmaiden-ls02.jpgVince and I are real bummed we’re not going to the Download Festival again this summer; last year, it gave us pretty much the best three days of our lives (To review: within 72 hours, we saw Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Tool, Alice in Chains, The Deftones, Korn, Down, Trivium, In Flames, Avenged Sevenfold, Lacuna Coil, Hatebreed, Strapping Young Lad, Soulfly, Arch Enemy, God Forbid, DevilDriver, Breed 77, Gojira, Throwdown, Fishbone, Clutch, Stone Sour, 36 Crazyfists, Satyricon, 18 Visions, Dredg, and Darkest Hour. And that’s just the bands we had time to see. Every weekend should be that totally awesome).

That’s why we’re so totally stoked that, as reported by Blabbermouth, festival closers and metal gods Iron Maiden’s performance on Sunday, June 10 will be broadcast live over the festival’s official website as well as IronMaiden.com. Maiden OWN Donington; if ever there was a reason to spend several hours in front of your computer that didn’t involve reading this website, playing World of Warcraft or wanking it to Cum Fiesta, this is it.

Other performers at this year’s fest include (but are not limited to) Slayer, Megadeth, Motley Crue, Marilyn Manson, Suicidal Tendencies, Velvet Revolver, Dream Theater, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Mastodon, Chimaira, Hellyeah, and Unearth. Jesus H. Christ, this is going to be an awesome three days.
