LIFE WAS NOT ALWAYS SO CIVIL FOR LAMB OF GOD…

Yes — this is an ultra-professional band at the height of their career, with killer songs, masterful albums, and a sick live show, but all was not always so fluid in the world of Lamb of God. There was one time (and perhaps many others as well) when vocalist Randy Blythe got his ass whupped by guitar player Mark Morton, who seems like a mostly chill guy but was simply sick of his bandmate’s drunken nonsense.

Apparently following this incident (which occurred in Glasgow, Scotland, while Randy was wearing a kilt), LoG threatened to give Randy the boot if he didn’t clean up his act and stop being such a belligerent wastoid. I guess Randy took heed, and thus Sacrament was born. Praise Allah.

The whole episode was indeed captured on video, and featured on the band’s 2005 dvd Killadelphia. If you’ve never seen the whole mess, check it out below:

But if you don’t have nine minutes to spare (and who does in the midst of the frenzied Hanukristmikwanzaakas season?), here’s just the fight (minus the laughable lead-up) in fast-motion (yes, that’s right — fast motion):

Band drama! I guess Sam from NYCmetal.com is somewhere out there eating his comment suggesting that Randy is gonna join the UFC in ’08…
