Former Korn Bassist “Fieldy” Says He Won’t Be Returning to the Band Anytime Soon
I feel like someone is lying to us, and I don’t know why. Back in 2021, Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu said he was taking a hiatus from the band. But, since the word hiatus pretty much implies that there will eventually be a return, fans likely thought the breakup would be mended at some point within our lifetime. Fieldy is pulling a Hall & Oates on us by saying “no go” to this now, as heard in an interview on the latest episode of The Dr. Greenthumb Show, hosted by none other than Cypress Hill’s B-Real. He asked Fieldy if Korn fans could expect to him perform with them again, and he didn’t necessarily give us good news…:
“I won’t be playing any shows, but we’ll see what tomorrow brings. You never know, but for now, no.”
You can watch the 2-hour long episode below.
Fieldy was replaced with Ra Diaz from Suicidal Tendencies. It seems Diaz is still considered to be temporary, since Korn bill him as a touring, not full time, member. Despite this, Fieldy says he hasn’t spoken with any of his bandmates since way before the fact, stopping in 2019. I don’t know what kind of time magic Fieldy must be doing, since he technically played with Korn in 2021 for the “Korn: Monumental” streaming event. Maybe he didn’t utter a word to them during that performance…?
Fieldy spoke on this in another recent interview with the Basement Talk podcast:
“I haven’t talked to those guys since 2019. So it’s like we’re just kind of both…. They’re truckin’. They’re a machine. They’re going. It’s insane. It’s dope that they can keep on going like that.”
