Cattle Decapitation Cancel European Summer Tour Over “Circumstances Beyond Our Control”
Sorry for the bummer news, European death metal fans, but it’s lookin’ like you’re going to have to wait a bit longer before Cattle Decapitation comes back to your part of the world. And that’s all thanks the sudden cancellation of their upcoming European summer festival tour that was supposed to start a couple weeks from now.
In a post on their official Facebook account, Cattle Decapitation explained why they weren’t able to make the trek across the pond this time around. Though they remained mostly quiet about the exact details, it sounds like something or someone’s not doing well and they need time to handle that issue.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control that arose in the last 24h, in addition to the mental well being and personal situations occurring within the Cattle Decapitation camp, we regrettably must cancel our European summer festival tour. We understand and apologize for the inconvenience this causes for all parties involved, as well as to our European fans, but unfortunately we have no way of still making this tour work.”
As for the other bands on the bill — Fit For An Autopsy, Incantation, Skeletal Remains, and Severe Torture — we don’t know what’s going to happen to their touring plans. Maybe they can pick up the pieces and run a tour without Cannibal Corpse.
Given how much time and energy goes into putting together a tour, let alone an international one, I bet this was not an easy decision to make. No one wants to deny themselves a chance at earning a living, but the health and safety of everyone involved is paramount.
We at MetalSucks hope that regardless of whatever forced the cancellation, that everyone’s okay.
