Black Sabbath Drummer Bill Ward is Working on Two Solo Albums
Black Sabbath may be calling it quits for good this weekend, but that doesn’t mean Bill Ward will be hanging up the drum sticks all together. In fact, the dude’s returning to his solo music career.
In a new conversation with LA Radio Sessions (transcribed by Blabbermouth), the former Black Sabbath drummer and co-founder has shared that he’s in the process of working on two solo albums. This will mark Bill Ward’s debut personal material in 10 years. Following his 2015 record, Accountable Beasts, which is currently the only one of his three records that’s available on Spotify.
Ward tells the radio station:
“We’ve been in the studio. We’ve been living in the studio, is what we’ve been doing. And we’ve got two albums that are nearly finished. And we will put them out. And we are finishing up.
“We’ve gotta go back in the studio in about another week. And we’ve got four days left to finish our final overdubs for the newest album that’ll be coming out. And we haven’t got it mixed yet. But we’ll get that done too.”
So, it’s fair to say things all seem to be moving pretty quickly for Ward, and that maybe these new albums will arrive sooner than we think… It’s a little hard to tell what to expect yet, but that’s what makes it exciting.
