Health Release Totally Not Bleak “Thought Leader”

0

To say we as a society are completely addicted to the screens in front of us would be an understatement. Too often, one can point to something that happens on the internet and/or social media and outwardly exclaim how it was all a mistake. When I listen to Health‘s new single “Thought Leader”, that’s exactly the feeling I get reading the lyrics.

Yes, the latest track from Health feels like a cautionary tale about how things are going and where they could go. And given how the last couple of singles have gone, it’s not that far of a stretch of imagine the band’s forthcoming album CONFLICT DLC, due out on December 11 via Loma Vista Recordings, being anything other than a bad time. I mean, just let frontman Jake Duzsik tell you if you don’t believe me.

“No, it’s not just your imagination. The future is shit and the phone you are reading this on is making it worse, but please don’t put it down. We are delighted to announce 12 new tracks of anger, fear, sadness and death, and to beg for yet more of your addled attention.”

CONFLICT DLC will be released via Loma Vista Recordings on December 11, but you can preorder your copy today.

In addition to the new record, Health will be hitting the road next year with Carpenter Brut and Desire. The tour will start at The Warfield on March 31 and come to a close on May 5 at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas. Prior to those dates, Health have a lot of other touring resposibilities on the books, so be sure to check out the dates listed below.
